Introduction:

We  will  talk  about a  passage of  shakespeare's Hamelet  to  illustrate  how  we  can  stablish parallels  between  a  nigerian tribe  (in  Brazil)  and  the  western civilization:

When  candomble  researches scholar Laura Bohannen introduced Shakespeare’s Hamlet to the Nigerian tribe "Tiv", the play was interpreted in light of the Nigerian culture. Laura stated that it was important to consider not only what Hamlet meant to the “Tiv” people, but what Hamlet meant to the Hindu's, Arab or any other culture. The study of a culture in itself is not enough to determine and interpret its elements, Nigerian folklore is not sufficient for one to understand and interpret Nigerian literature. It is also important to assert how Nigerians would interpret other countries literature.

Laura established a parallel between a Nigerian tribe and the western civilization. Similarly we will try and illustrate what happens in a tribally community, where the organization is tribal, within a western culture.
